| Note: This aircraft was regularly assigned to 1st Lt. Bill Demint of Uncle Flight. He was the flight leader, which the two diagonal stripes on the nose represent. On June 19, 1953, which was the day after this photo was taken, 2nd Lt. Jim Escalle of Mike Flight flew this aircraft on an armed reconnaissance mission and never came back. Lt. Escalle was listed as missing in action. |
